Dorraine Scofield has lived & played music in the Catskill Mountains for her entire life and taken the stage with many national acts, made many radio appearances as well as appearing numerous times on The Food Network and other channels. Performing songs including her originals, and covers including country, soft rock, folk, and just a touch of jazz, she is sure to get your feet tapping. Ulster Welcome Center Plaza, weather permitting.

Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
Friends of the Walkway is pleased to offer the opportunity to enjoy amazing Hudson Valley views after dark from 212 feet above the Hudson River at Walkway at Night. With the moon hanging high in the sky and the Mid-Hudson Bridge twinkling in the distance, there is truly nothing like a twilight evening on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge. Our friends from the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association will be on-bridge with telescopes to view the night sky (weather permitting). Reserve your ticket for entry at walkway.org/walkwayatnight.

Join us at the East Gate Plaza in Poughkeepsie on Friday, September 5 from 6-7 p.m. to build bridges using just spaghetti and marshmallows! This hands-on activity introduces young minds to basic engineering concepts like structure, design, material strength and innovation in a playful and engaging environment! Presented by Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum. All Walkway Connections events are free to attend with no RSVP required.

Walkway Connections (For Kids): Geocaching Treasure Hunt

On Saturday, September 13 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the East Gate Plaza in Poughkeepsie, kids are called to Walkway Over the Hudson to find the treasure and protect the planet! Join this Geocaching Treasure Hunt for a fun one-hour outdoor adventure where kids become "nature heroes" on a mission to find hidden treasures and learn how to care for the Earth. Using clues (not phones!), you'll search for eco-caches containing small surprises and environmental tips, all while practicing teamwork and the golden rules of nature exploration— leaving no trace and being gentle with the environment. The program will include an exciting mix of play, discovery, and learning designed to spark curiosity and inspire young eco-stewards. This Walkway Connections event is free to attend. It is targeted for kids in grades 4-8. No RSVP required.

Celebrate the start of a new season with a Sunrise Stroll on the World's Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge. During the vernal and autumnal equinoxes, the sun rises in line with the Walkway deck, making for a spectacular photo opportunity. We're opening the gates early at 6:30 a.m. on both approaches to allow everyone to enjoy this magnificent experience. There's no cost to attend Sunrise Stroll.

Meet at Apple Greens Golf Course, Highland, NY. This 18-hole scramble event features stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountains, classic competitions like longest drive and closest-to-the-pin, light lunch on the course, a delicious locally-sourced dinner, drinks, post-round awards, an awesome raffle and other fun surprises throughout the day. Play as an individual golfer or register your foursome. Want to join us for dinner only? Non-golfers are welcome to attend after the round with a non-golf dinner ticket.
