A Revolutionary War Blacksmith: Keeping the Military Prepared

A living history exhibit! An 18th century blacksmithing re-enactor who presented last summer at the site's North American War of 1812 Grand Tactical was the traveling blacksmith Jymm who attracted crowds as he demonstrated blacksmithing and explained the role of early American traveling blacksmiths. Back by popular demand! Jymm returns to the historic site for two full days of demonstrations. A traveling forge with a limber made up wagons designed as blacksmith shops on wheels, carrying essential blacksmith equipment and farriers to both shoe horses and repair wagons and artillery equipment.
