learn everything you need to know before the big day! This program is most appropriate for older

explore the difference between a planet, sun, and moon, and make our very own
eclipse pin-hole viewers!

Our Nature Center staff will be offering educational
activities and demonstrations, plus commentary on what is happening in real
time!
While our bathrooms will not be open this time of year, we
will have porta-potties for use during the day of the eclipse.
Viewing the eclipse safely
Eclipse glasses will be available at the Point Au Roche
Viewing Party, first-come, first-served, starting at 1:30pm. Quantities
are very limited! Please keep in mind that glasses can be shared between
members of your party. Educators will also be providing an opportunity to
make a pinhole viewer.
If purchasing your own eclipse glasses, please ensure you
are buying from a reputable source. Sunglasses, homemade filters, and
eclipse glasses without an ISO certification will not protect your eyes!

PARKING LOT. This field trip is co-sponsored between NNYA and
Point au Roche State Park. Ken Adams, and possibly others, will lead this bird
walk. The planned route is the level terrain on Long Point peninsula (about 2
miles round trip). Birders of all experience levels are welcome. Group size is
