Meet at 5139 North Catherine Street, Plattsburgh. Spiders
and snakes and bats, oh my! This month we'll investigate some of the creepy
creatures that most people try to avoid. Are they really dangerous? What should you do if you see one or they (gasp!) get into your house? Bring all your questions as we try to lay some fears to rest and explore how
really interesting these creatures can be!

CREATURES OF THE NIGHT HIKE

Join a park educator
for a twilight hike and search for some of the wildlife that becomes active
after park guests leave for the day. Walk will be approximately 2 miles. This program is most appropriate for adults, but older children and
teens are welcome with adult supervision. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp!

TREE ID WALK

naturalist will lead a guided nature walk to see what is happening in the park
as we transition to Fall, highlighting some of the tree species that make it so
beautiful this time of year and exploring how to identify them. Walk will be no more than 2 miles on easy
trails. All ages welcome!

CREEPY CREATURES HAUNTED HOUSE

one day only, the Nature Center will be taken over by the scariest creatures
that call the Park home! There will be exhibits and activities for all ages –
learn about local legends, check out some animal skulls, see some live creepy
crawlies, visit a mad scientist's laboratory, trick-or-treat through the woods,
and more! Family-friendly costumes encouraged!
