Golden Hill State Park was acquired by New York State in 1962. The Thirty Mile Lighthouse, decommissioned by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1958, is part of the park and is available for rental. This landmark has a rich history which can be enjoyed by visitors of the park, through the Friends of Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse originally provided keepers and assistant keepers family quarters. Golden Hill State Park offers camping, fishing, boating, shoreline hiking, picnicking, nature walks and walking tours of the lighthouse site. Summer events at the park are numerous. Winter activities are also available, including snowshoeing and five miles of snowmobile trails that run through the park.
At the Lighthouse Cottage, renters are provided with a private picnic area with a barbecue grill and picnic table. This vacation rental offers a private entrance, kitchen with refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, silverware and dishes, living room with electric fireplace for a cozy feeling, full bath with an old fashioned bathtub, three bedrooms with queen size beds and pillows and a view of Lake Ontario that is stunning. Please bring your own linens and bath towels.

Pavilion Information
Golden Hill has two pavilions. The day use price is $50 and can accommodate 60 to 70 people. Check availability at ReserveAmerica.com.
Yurts are now available for reservations
Yurts are wood lattice framed structures with heavy duty re-enforced fabric sides and insulated liners. They have windows, a domed roof and wood floors. The yurts at Golden Hill sleep 6 people and have 2 sets of bunk beds and a futon that pulls out into a full sized bed. The yurts also include a refrigerator and a microwave. Pet Policy: A maximum of two pets are allowed in campsites and day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals).

Lighthouse tours are closed for the season and will re-open May 20, 2022 - Boat Launch: 5/20 - 10/9, conditions permitting.

Hunting by permit only for pheasant, waterfowl and small game. Hunters should contact the park office for additional information. As always, DEC rules and regulations apply.
DUCK BLIND PERMIT RULES
Fort Niagara, Wilson-Tuscarora, Joseph Davis, and Golden Hill State Parks
- All Federal and State regulations apply.
- A dog or boat is required for retrieving.
- Only one person per hunting group is allowed to draw at any time.
- All spent shell casings and any litter must be removed at the end of the hunt.
- The permittee is responsible for listing all of the blind occupants on the permit; substitutions are not allowed.
- All hunters must have a NYS hunting license, HIP number, and Federal "Duck" stamp.
- The permittee must have successfully completed a satisfactory Waterfowl Identification course.
- All blinds must be set up within fifty (50) feet of the blind number.
- The intent of this Permit is to allow shooting over water only, not over land.
