Fahnestock-Hudson Highlands Public Information Meeting, September 22

Meeting Notice

Who: Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Staff
What: Public information meeting regarding the preparation of a Draft Master Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Clarence Fahnestock Memorial and Hudson Highlands State Parks.
When: Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Where: Taconic Outdoor Education Center, 75 Mountain Laurel Lane in Cold Spring, NY.

Park master plans help determine how to best identify uses for a specific site, make the most of limited resources, and protect the environment. Because public input is vital to the process, State Parks is seeking comments from all stakeholders including the general public, local government officials, friends groups, user groups and other interested parties.

State Parks' staff will make a brief presentation about the master planning process and the park. They will also be available to answer questions and receive public comments. An information packet is available on-line at: http://www.nysparks.state.ny.us/inside-our-agency/public-documents.aspx

All persons interested in the parks are urged to attend; those who cannot may submit written comments by October 23, 2009 to:

Elisabeth Pezzolla
