The New York State Heritage Areas Advisory Council will meet at the Legislative Office Building in Albany on May 7, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. The 25th anniversary of the state Heritage Areas System will be recognized and there will be reports from Heritage Areas throughout the state.
New York State has nineteen Heritage Areas, each working to develop, preserve and promote the historic, cultural and natural resources that create its distinctive identity. The Advisory Council advises and guides the State Parks agency and the Heritage Area communities on issues relating to the Heritage Areas Program
The meeting is open to the public.
