Established within the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, the New York State Council of Parks consists of the Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, the Commissioner of Environmental Conservation, the Chair of the State Board of Historic Preservation, and the chairs of the eleven regional parks commissions.
