Junior Naturalists at Minnewaska: Wildlife Day

Thursday, August 21, 2025 09:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Bring your family and join Minnewaska's educators to learn all about our native wildlife. We'll learn about these animals by looking at and touching various wildlife props, including replica pelts and skulls, feathers and nests, stuffed birds and more. Then, everyone will have a chance to make a plaster mold of an animal footprint to take home. While the molds dry, we'll take a hike to look for signs of wildlife. This program is recommended for children between the ages of seven to twelve years old, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 years old. Meet at the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center. Pre-registration is required by calling the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center at 845-255-0752.
Call to Register: (845) 255-0752
