Drop-In Program: Snakes of Minnewaska

Come learn about the wonderful world of snakes with Minnewaska Park Educators. Minnewaska is home to 12 of 17 total species of snakes that can be found in New York State. As the weather warms, we begin sharing our trails and vistas with these slithery friends more and more. We will talk about how to identify each snake species (including which ones are venomous) and how to safely interact with and appreciate these misunderstood creatures. Stop by the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center for this informative program. Pre-registration is NOT required.
