Taconic State Park - Copake Falls Area
Join us for a free movie night in the park. Bring family and friends, a blanket or lawn chairs, and snacks to join the first ever Movie Nights at Taconic State Park. We'll be showing some of our favorite movies throughout the season in the open air on the lawn at Copake Falls. Movie choices will be announced via our social media and in the Park's Office.

Meet at Orphan Farms location. There is something magical about clear night skies and listening for animals as you take a stroll by under a full moon. This is not a spooky walk, it's a family friendly roll and stroll to learn why Dark Skies matter. We will also be shedding some "light" on many misunderstood creatures of the night. Flashlights or headlamps encouraged. Appropriate footwear required. Strollers and mobility assistance devices approved for the HVRT are welcome.

Join us for a weekend of activities. Our staff are running programs throughout the two days ranging from Pond Exploring and Bird Watching to Walking Bingo/Guided Hikes and Camp Crafts. For detailed information please reach out to our Educator at Haley.Sylvan@parks.ny.gov or follow us on social media. Volunteer/Stewardship opportunities available. Girl Scouts Love State Parks in a national program that encourages girls and community to get out and experience state parks through partnership with the National Association of State Park Directors and THOR Industries.
