The Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center explores the relationships between human beings, energy systems, and environmental stewardship. Located on the West End of Long Island's iconic Jones Beach State Park, the Center offers permanent and rotating exhibits, public programs, and educational resources to help visitors understand and appreciate the coastal environment.
When visiting take advantage of the two free mobile tours
that can guide you as you explore the Center:
- A playful introduction to the exhibits (15 minutes) and a more advanced tour of the net-zero energy features of this building (30 minutes).
- Each tour is also available in ASL and English-language audio descriptions.
Energy & Us
The Center's free, interdisciplinary high school curriculum investigates the relationships between people, energy, and the environment.
